Middle School
Today was my second day of middle school! Yesterday, was a short day, and there was only sixth graders. But today was different, today there was sixth graders, eight graders, and seventh graders as well. Let me just say, I thought that the eighth graders were big, and a little bit scary. But I probably won't feel that way for long. One day I'll be the big bad eighth grader on campus. I noticed some interesting new trends for our age, everyone was wearing feathers. Big feathers, little feathers, colored feathers, plain feathers. I was wearing a white, lace skirt (by the way lace is in this year) and I saw someone else wearing the exact same skirt as me. Although, she was wearing the same skirt as me, she wore it in a totally different way that looked cute also. I wore it with more of a preppy look while she had more of a pulled together lace look. Another trend I noticed is Tom's (Tom's are shoes). People had them in all sorts of colors and textures. Don't be surprised if you see people wearing the same shoes as you, they are very popular and match any outfit you desire. I'm loving middle school so far!

Organizing Your Desk
Hello! A lot of us have messy desks. So today I'm writing about how to clear of your messy desk and make it organized. Now, a lot of you are probably thinking why do I want to clean my desk? And the answer to that is, you want to clean your desk so then you have a clean spot to work. And if your desk is clean it's way easier to use.
What you'll need for this project is yourself, and a messy desk.
1. Ok, so the first thing you need to do is take everything off your desk.
2. Once everything is off your desk, look at the things that you had on your desk. If they are old papers you don't need anymore, recycle them! And if there is something you don't want or need anymore, you don't have to keep it, give it away or donate it. Try to get as much off your desk as possible, so that you have room to use your desk.
3. Now before you put the things back onto your desk, clean off the desk. It's good to have a clean working environment.
4. Now, you get to put everything back on your desk. But remember you need a good space to work, so arrange your things in a way that gives you lots of room. Make sure the things you use a lot are in a quick access spot, so you can get them easily. I know that I have trouble keeping all of my little things that I make, or things I like around on my desk. So if you have this problem, just pick one or two things out that you like. Just because your desk is neat, douse not mean that you can't have anything on your desk, Just have out some things that you like, and some things you need. And make sure that your desk has some of your style in it, to show your personality!

Backpack
Yesterday, I found out that my one-strap-backpack was too small! I put all of my things that I'll take to school inside, and when I tried to zipper it up, I could not close the backpack! And a few days before we found out my backpack was too small, we were at Target. (I don't remember why, but we needed something probably). Anyway, me and my mom went over check out the back-to-school-supplies. By the way, it was all messy! And we saw some backpacks, so we spent some time checking out the backpacks. I found this one that I really liked. It was green with yellow, white, blue, and purple flowers on it. I really liked it (and I still do). So when we found out about my one-strap backpack not working, I asked my mom if we could return the one-strap backpack, and get the pretty green one. And she said yes! So today we went over to Target today, and I got to get it! I love it. It's so cool. There's a bunch of pockets on the inside, and some on the outside too. In the front pocket that's where I have some post-it notes. And that's the only thing I have in the outside pockets. The in the second row of pockets, I have some pencils, colored pencils, calculators, And a stapler. On the third pocket (the biggest one), is where I keep my pencil pouch, my folders I keep in a pocket that's meant for a computer, but I don't need a computer, and my folders fit perfectly. I also keep my two binders, spiral not books, and composition books. And to tell you the truth, I like this backpack even more then I like the first one!

My play date!
Today, one of my really good friends came over to play with me. First, we made a secret club (so I can't tell you where it is, or what it looks like.) What we do in our club is, we talk, and we add onto our spots in the club house. But we never came up with a name for the club. And, we would go do things like, shoot rubber bands, or play the flip-flop game. And when someone came by, we would act like a rock. I think that my favorite thing about today, was when my mom came near the tent, she saw us and peeked her head into our clubhouse, we acted like a rock. Then she looked at us, and asked what we were doing. Then we grabbed our squirt guns, and squirted my mom, and we chases her away! It was fun. And I think that my mom had fun then too.

Today I Visited My Old Neighbor
This picture you see above is of me and my old neighbor, from the last neighborhood I lived in. We each moved, She moved up to her other house, and is now renting her other one. And I moved into a little bit bigger house. But we are each still in the same town as we were before. First we met each other at a restaurant, and ate breakfast there. Then we headed up to her house. It was a little bit of a drive, but it was a very pretty ride. When we got there she showed me and my mom her gardens, it was so pretty! There was a lot of trees, and we even saw one of her cats. After we looked at all of the trees and flowers, we got to see the house. I loved the house! It was so bright and open. When you walk into the house, to the left, that's where the kitchen was. And to the right, was the dinning room, then living room. In the living room, that's how you got into the guest room. Upstairs, is her bed room, bathroom, and the cats bedroom (she has two cats.) We had a lot of catching up to do. So we did a lot of chatting. I had so much fun today, and I'm so happy that I got to see my old neighbor!

My New Outfit (For The First Day Of School)
Today, me and my mom went shopping for my "first day of school outfit." We went to Abercrombie and I got an outfit that I just love! And the best part is that I picked it out. I got a white, lace skirt, and I think that's my favorite thing I got. I got a pink shirt (I look good in pink) that has white, pink, and navy colored hair bows. I got that shirt because I think that it's my style, and I always wear bows in my hair! And I'm wearing a navy sweater that has a pretty flower on it. And I got this because I liked it, and because it goes with my new outfit and a lot of my other clothes. My first day of school starts on Monday and I'm so excited! Today I had so much fun shopping with my mom! (The picture of my outfit is to the left).

My Sixth Grade Orientation Was Today
Today was my sixth grade orientation! Last night I picked out my outfit for today, and I picked out one of my favorite skirts. It's purple with white polka dots and it has two pockets. And my shirt, my aunt got me. It's gray, and it says "be nerdy" in the periodic table. And I have a green bow in my hair (I love to wear bows in my hair!) And I wore sneakers too. I went to the orientation with my two good friends. And when we got there I saw a bunch of my friends, and a lot of new faces too! Then we got split into groups with two eighth grade girls who where going to show us around my middle school. We first went to a class room and got into a circle. We went around the circle a few times and said our names. Then we switched up the game. Now we had to say our name, and the person to our right's name. Once we did that a few times, one of the eighth graders, changed it some more. Now you have to say your name, and the person to your right's name and if she yells "stop" you have to say your name, the person to the right's name, and the person to your left's name. And if she yells "switch" then everyone has to move places, next to new people. And if she yells "mash" you have to say your name, and everyone else's name. After we did name games we did sort of "getting to know you" games where you pick a number, and that number has a question, so once you pick a number you get a question. And we filled out work sheets ( it was not school work.) After all of that we had a snack, and we got a tour of the middle school. And we had lots of talks in the gym. So my day was pretty fun. I'm happy I went to my sixth grade orientation, but I don't feel like I really needed to go. I'm so excited for sixth grade!

Angel's New Haircut
This is my dog Angel. And her hair was so bad! Before me and my mom cut it, there was nots and mats everywhere. So today we decided to give her a good trim. And this is how her hair came out. She looks so cute! But I think that her hair does need to grow out a little bit. I had a great time cutting her hair, it was fun!

My New Vera Bradley Purse
I just got a new Vera Bradley purse! I love it so much. To the right, is what's inside my purse. And to the left is my new purse! What I love about my purse is how much stuff it fits, and You can adjust the straps three different ways. And look at how cute it is! Hanging down on the front of the purse is a vera bradley key chain ball, and on the side I have a blue pen. Inside my purse I carry A note pad, it has a pen attached to it. that has a cute dog on it and under the dog it says, "I have a question . . . When do I get more treats?" I also have what looks like a Vera Bradley coin purse, but I use it for wax (for my braces) and these tooth pick things (also for my braces, and it's for if I have something stuck in my braces.) I have "After Shopping Breath Mints" in a cute, tiny, tin purse. I have Altoid mints, and Extra Dessert Delights Gum that is mint chocolate chip ice cream gum. A coin purse that has different flavored Tick Tacks, banana berry flavored Skittles Lip Smackers. A lipstick case with lipstick in it, a mirror with hairbrush that I got at Sephora. My pretty house key, pink, strawberry scented hands sanitizer. My purse holder that I use to hang my purse on tables when I'm out eating or something. A sharpie pen. And a key chain bubble wrap thing, and Glux.

There's A Mouse In My House
Attention!
Everyone there is a mouse in my house! Yesterday, me and my mom went to "Ace Hardware" to get a mouse trap. I wanted to get the one that looked like a small black mail box, so that when we catch it I can see it alive. But it turns out that small, black mailbox looking case kills the mice, when they walk into the mailbox thing they get electrocuted. once I found out that they get electrocuted, I did not want that mouse trap anymore! We finally decided on a mouse trap that has peanuts stuck to a very sticky tray, and when the mouse goes to get the peanuts, they get stuck on the tray. And, they don't die! Since mice come out mostly at night time, we had to wait, because they were asleep. Soon it was time to go to sleep. So I went to bed thinking happy thoughts, but then I started to think about the spider that was it my room that morning and the mouse. Then, once I was asleep, I had a bad dream that there was a mouse in our house the size of a mole (the animal) and it went for the sticky trap, but because it was so big, it did not stick! So then it started to jump up at me! And all my mom did was walk away! "What if the mouse has rabies!" I yelled. And she did nothing. Then the mouse was my pet, but I was still scared of it. It was such a weird dream! (Now I'm done telling about my dream) And then when all of my family was awake, my mom went to check the traps . . . And one of the traps was gone! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Somewhere in my house or garage there is a mouse with a trap stuck to it, and I don't know where is is. So this morning me and my mom went to get another trap, but I don't know what type of trap this new one is. I hope none of you have a mouse in your house like me (unless you want a mouse in your house.)

Feathers In Hair
Hey everyone! I'm going to talk about feathers in hair. As you see to the right, there is a picture of me. In this picture, I have two feathers in my hair. They are so in right now! I just got these two new feathers yesterday I used to have a bright green one and a bright orange one. But since I'v been in the pool so much this summer, the chlorine wore out my feather colors. So I got two new ones yesterday. A purple one, and a yellow one that has brown stripes. Some of my friends have a lot of feathers spread all through out their hair. It looks pretty cool! The lady at the salon told me, a lot of people are wearing a thick, fluffy feather, with a thin feather. But I wanted these two feathers. To get a feather(s) you can either buy clip-in ones, or go to a salon and see in they have feathers like mine, that stay in for a while and you don't use clips to put them in your hair. It's more like a hair extension, but it's a feather. I hope my feather looks this good when I start school!

Boys Are Dogs by Leslie Margolis
This is a book for girls. I'm reading it right now, I'm on chapter three, page 37. I just started it last night! The book is called "Boys Are Dogs" this is the blurb. "When Annabelle returns from summer camp, her life is totally different. She's moving to a new house with her mom's new boyfriend, and that means starting sixth grade at a brand-new school. Brichwood Middle School is very different from her old all-girls elementary-the boys practically run wild in the hallways. And at home, Annabelle's new puppy is taking over the house and chewing on her clothes. But the puppy came with a manual, so Annabelle might be able to get one thing under control. Unless . . . can you train a boy the way you train a dog?" The book is $6.99. Meg Cabot (the author of "Princess Diaries" and "Allie Finkle's Rules for Girls" series.) Said, "fresh, fun, and full of heart, "Boy's Are Dogs" will empower girls while giving them the giggles at the same time." I like to read Meg Cabot books so it's nice to hear that she enjoyed reading this one. I think that the book so far is really good, I like that Annabelle is 11 and going into sixth grade because that's my age and grade, so I feel like I can really relate to this book. Also, in the story Annabelle moved about an hour away from her old house, school, and friends. And I moved all the way across the country! So I just feel like I can really relate to this book. So far I am really enjoying "Boys Are Dogs!"

Angel
This is my cutie dog Angel! she is 4 years old, and I love her. We had a old dog named mugsy and she lived until 10. Mugsy was a shih tzu and died from cancer. My family had Mugsy even before I was born. Mugsy died when I was 7 years old, and now I'm 11. I remember when My mom told me that Mugsy had died, she sat me down on the bench in front of my school, and told me that Mugsy had died. At first I did not believe her, but she was right, Mugsy had died. My dad was away when this happened, he was on a business trip. We went home to our house, in the car me and my mom were just crying. We were so sad. When we got home my mom showed me pictures of puppies on a website of a pet store. My mom asked me if I wanted to go get one, I said yes, but I was still sad about Mugsy. In the pet shop we spent hours looking at all the cute dogs. At first I was afraid to put my hand into the pen. I still remember sticking my had into Angel's pen, and how she licked me. Now when we look back to that moment my mom tells me "as soon as I saw Angel I knew she would be the one." As we drove home from the pet store with our new dog Angel we spent the time thinking of names for her. We were just listing out name by name. Then my mom looks into the back seat and says "look at that angel face"
I replied "that's it mommy, that's her name, Angel." And until that moment her name was Angel. Today I took this picture of Angel, she's on her back on my new pillow, and she has my favorite blanket on top of her. I love Angel and Mugsy!

The Flip-Flop-Flop Game
Hello, I'm going to tell you about what me and my friend did today. Today, I had a play date with one of my friends from school, and we came up with this really fun game to play. Ok, for this game you will need: Yourself and flip-flops. Then you come up with a starting point and ending point. After you have come up with the starting point and ending point, you stand at the starting point. Then, you take one foot and flip off you flip-flop. After you have flipped off your flip-flop, you hop with you foot that has the flip-flop on, and go to your other flip-flop, put your bare foot in that flip-flop. And if your bare foot touches the ground, you have to yell "I love Justin Beiber" 10 times! We aren't that crazy about Justin Beiber. Then you just keep going with flipping off your flip-flops until you get to the ending point, and then you just keep flipping and flopping until you get back to the starting point. And that's how you play The Flip-Flop Game, have fun!
Breakfast
This morning me and my mom went out to eat breakfast. So we went to this awesome pancake place, a few minutes away from our house. I got a Mickey Mouse Pancake, with bananas on the side, and a coke to drink. My mom got a short stack of pancakes, with sausage on the side, and a coke to drink. And after that our stomachs hurt from eating so fast. It was good!
